Extracurricular Activities
As mentioned (and proven) earlier, I am a part of the CMS West Band and the Boy Scouts of America. The band is a group dedicated to a love and appreciation for music, and Boy Scouts of America is an organization dedicated to service and teaching boys life skills. Besides those organizations, I am also a part of Taekwondo America. This organization is dedicated to teaching the martial art of Taekwondo. After multiple years, I've managed to earn my black belt. Earning a black belt takes dedication and at least two and a half years. Despite earning my black belt, I still plan to practice Taekwondo at a reasonable rate.
Community Service
I am currently part of the Boy Scouts of America (or BSA) program. I am currently a Life Scout, and am close to becoming an Eagle Scout. As part of the BSA program, you are required to complete service hours in order to advance in rank. The photo above shows a page in my service log. Whenever you complete service hours, you write it down in the log. By reading the log, you can see all of the community service that I have done recently.
Academic Achievements
I would consider myself to perform better in academics than all other categories of activity (like athletic and artistic activities). I have earned the "A-Honor Roll" award in both 6th and 7th grade. The photo above shows a medal (on the right) that recognizes that I made the A-Honor Roll. I don't plan to end this streak of all "A's" anytime soon.
More notably, I participated in the "Duke TIP" program. In the program, students with high academic records are given the opportunity to take the ACT or SAT tests. The photo above shows a medal (on the left) I earned as recognition for placing as one of the highest scoring students who participated in the program.
